one owl. No territory can be left empty, and no two owls can share

3Hoots is a relaxing spatial logic puzzle game inspired by Star Battle (Two Not Touch) and Sudoku. Players place cute owls into colored regional territories on an N×N board using pure spatial deduction—no arithmetic, no equations, and no guesswork!
Unlike classic Sudoku which requires placing numbers 1 through 9, 3Hoots is 100% spatial. You work with colored territories, row/column lines, and personal space constraints. Every single move is deduced by logically excluding impossible cells.
1. One Owl per Color: Each uniquely colored region contains exactly one owl. 2. One Owl per Row and Column: No two owls share the same horizontal row or vertical column. 3. Owls Cannot Touch: Owls need personal space! They cannot touch each other in any direction—neither horizontally, vertically, nor diagonally (all 8 surrounding neighbors).
You begin each level with 3 Golden Feathers. Placing an owl on a cell that violates any rule deducts one feather life. If all 3 feathers are lost, you can restart the level with fresh shuffled positions to try again!
• Auto-Exclusion Clue (Owl Booster): Instantly clears and marks crosses (×) along the rows, columns, and 8 surrounding neighbors of all confirmed owls on the board.
• Kawaii Mouse Helper: Scratches away false paths and reveals the exact safe placement of a solution owl.
Yes! 3Hoots is built to be played entirely offline. All 288+ puzzle levels, procedural puzzle algorithms, soundscapes, and mascot themes run locally on your device without requiring an active internet connection.
3Hoots features four distinct companions: Peach Owl (cheerful & bright), Ocean Lilac Owl (wise & serene), Rose Owl (sweet & playful), and Sunny Owl (warm & radiant). Each mascot transforms board colors, audio soundscapes, and dynamic thinking reactions.
Puzzles are generated through planar region growth algorithms and verified with constraint satisfaction solvers to guarantee exactly one unique, 100% logically deductible solution with zero guesswork required.
No recurring subscriptions! 3Hoots is free to play, and offers a permanent "Full Game Unlock" one-time purchase that unlocks all campaigns, all companions, and removes all advertisements forever.
In accordance with Apple StoreKit guidelines, you can restore previous purchases at any time by tapping the "Restore Purchases" button in the in-game settings modal. Your Apple Account will automatically re-verify and unlock your content at no extra charge.

2. Information Stored Locally
Your game progress, unlocked puzzle levels, high scores, companion
mascot preferences, sound settings, and achievements are stored
locally on your device using secure Apple iOS APIs (UserDefaults
and local storage). This data stays entirely on your device.
3. Apple Game Center
If you choose to enable Apple Game Center, your player nickname,
leaderboard scores, and tournament achievements are synchronized
with Apple's GameKit services according to Apple's Privacy Policy.
We do not access or store your Apple Account credentials.
4. In-App Purchases
All financial transactions and in-app purchase receipts are
processed directly by Apple via StoreKit. We never collect,
process, or store your credit card or billing details.
5. Advertising & Third-Party Services
3Hoots displays advertisements via Google Mobile Ads for
non-purchasing users. Advertisements are served in accordance with
Apple's privacy guidelines and Google's advertising policies.
Players who purchase the "Full Game Unlock" enjoy a 100% ad-free
experience permanently.
6. Children's Privacy
3Hoots is designed to be a safe, relaxing, and family-friendly
puzzle experience for all ages. We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under the age of 13.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using 3Hoots ("the
App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and the Apple
Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. License & Intellectual Property
The App, including all puzzle logic, companion mascot artwork,
soundscapes, visual themes, and game engine code, is licensed—not
sold—to you for personal, non-commercial use on Apple-branded iOS
and iPadOS devices. All intellectual property rights remain
exclusively with the developers.
3. In-App Purchases (IAP)
3Hoots offers In-App Purchases through Apple's StoreKit:
Full Game Unlock: A non-consumable one-time
purchase granting permanent access to all levels, ad-free play,
mascot variants, and tournaments.
Companion Mascot Unlock: A non-consumable
one-time purchase granting access to custom mascot companions.
Feather Lives Refill: A consumable purchase
providing instant life refills.
All purchases are processed securely through your Apple Account
and are governed by Apple's payment and billing terms. Prices are
clearly displayed before purchase. Non-consumable purchases can be
restored at any time using the "Restore Purchases" button.
4. Restore Purchases
Under Apple Guideline 3.1.1, you can restore previous
non-consumable purchases on any compatible device associated with
the same Apple Account at no additional cost by tapping the
"Restore Purchases" button available in the game settings, shop,
and paywall screens.
5. User Conduct & Fair Play
You agree not to modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt
to extract the source code of the App. You agree not to manipulate
leaderboards or Game Center rankings via automated tools or
exploits.
6. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties
of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law,
the developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental,
or consequential damages resulting from your use of the App.
